Hi,

there seems to be a random effect whereby when trying to move the icons around, clicking on one icon causes a different one to jump around, displacing previously (tediously) ordered icons. To make life more difficult, when a new icon is added, it arrives in an unpredictable location.

Suggestion: why not provide an option to sort icons by title? Then by simply preceding the title with a number, the desired order could be obtained easily. Sadly, my programming skills are not adequate to contribute anything but suggestions!

(Edit: I see that this has been suggested before. The response, to manually reorder by drag and drop would be fine - if it worked predictably...

If necessary, I will provide a video showing how hard it is. )

(Edit #2: It may be worth mentioning that I have a lot of icons, and this might be a bug/feature of having four rows (so far) )

(Edit #3 I have edited the title, because it is now confirmed that the problem is caused by description popups. There needs to be an option to turn off popups, or remove the description field.

I see this too with 15 icons. When grabbing an icon, you have to put the mouse several inches above the one you want to move.

Ah, thank you! It's not just me! Obviously, the more sites you need to connect to, the more useful Heimdall becomes. Thence, the more important sorting the icons becomes!

This seems to be browser related, I was having the same issue while using Brave, but when I switch over to Chrome it works as expected.

I think I managed to get around this issue by removing all descriptions. After that I had no issue with reordering.

I tried in Brave and Safari and have the same issue (haven't tried removing descriptions because I like like 25 apps and it'll take a long time to remove them).

I had 21 to remove so I feel for you. However, it does work!

In which case, Heimdall support needs an option to turn off displays when reordering.

If you click and drag on the pen icon works well.
