It seems that when shown as categories, the tags are ordered in a random order.
I can't manually reorder them, and they're not even in an alphabetical order.
How do I reorder tags in this display mode?

I have the same issue (Version 2.6.3) - I can re-order the content of a category but not the tags/categories

Had this problem for some time and finally figure out how to solve.
Just change to "treat tags as folders", and the tags will be shown along with other individual items/apps.
Then you can reorder the tags. Upon completing reordering, change back to "treat tags as categories".
Everything should work fine now.

Well, it's convoluted, but it worked! Thanks!
