Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe
I have run into having to import my library from time to time and it takes quite a long time. Sometimes, it will have to restart due to something else coming up, but then I have to wait all over again -- so I am suggesting when it does have to import an entire library, just do it from one artist at a time versus going through, looking for all the time files and then doing a mass import. It would operate like a checkpoint this way.
Describe the solution you'd like
See above.
Describe alternatives you've considered
I tried to move files out to diminish the amount to import, but then when I add them back, Plex or Jellyfin has to go through all of them again, which is a little wasteful.
Anything else?
No -- I love the software, but that one annoying issue when trying to import a large library whenever I do a massive upgrade or move things around can take several days or even weeks if it doesn't checkpoint. So again, if it just imported by artist one at a time, this would make it easier.
