So the way I organise my media library, I have the main folder:
Movies, Kids Movies, TV Shows, Kids TV Shows & Music
Then have sub folders for each, which are:
Complete (This is where I have my media that has all artwork and metadata goes)
Incomplete (This is where I have the media but do not have all the artwork / metadata to go with goes)
Screening (This is where if I'm unsure if I'll keep the media goes)
So I would like away for Lidarr to be able to have a way of handling this organisation. So I would end up with something looking like this for example:
AB#196

What exactly is it you want lidarr to do? What criteria would it use?
@scottluker commented on GitHub (Feb 7, 2021):
For Lidarr to be able to albums from the same artist under multiple root folders, so albums from the same artist don't have to be all under one root folder. Maybe having one default root folder and the choice to organise to a different root folder when selecting for monitoring.
@ta264 commented on GitHub (Feb 7, 2021):
So you just want to be able to manually select per album which root folder it goes in?
@scottluker commented on GitHub (Feb 7, 2021):
Yep exactly

I'm looking for this feature as well. Especially important for i.e.

I see how old this is, but for my purposes the use case is to split crossover artists into multiple genre root folders.
This happens often between the Jazz and Classical worlds. I'd like to have separate "/Classical/Wynton Marsalis" and "/Jazz/Wynton Marsalis" folders, as I organize those genres in different ways. It also happens between Classical and Soundtrack genres, where the artist is listed as a composer, i.e. Beethoven even though the album belongs in my Soundtrack folder.
Short of running completely separate instances of Lidarr for each genre folder, I'm not sure how to overcome this limitation.
