Is there an existing issue for this?

  • I have searched the existing issues

At the moment you can add tags to indexers for whatever reason. But tagging a huge library can be slow and tedious. So I'm requesting also adding the ability to use the Custom Filters (not Formats) to do the job.
This would really aid in automation and would in my case reduce unnecessary searches from Indexers/Trackers that have specific content i.e using the tracker to search only movies of a certain language only or movies from a given country only, etc think of the niche/region/language specific trackers.

Describe the solution you'd like

Adding the ability to use Custom Filters (a feature that is already ) on a per indexer basis. i.e Using this tracker to search only for movies whose original language is Spanish or whose Country of Origin is say Spain/Mexico/Venezuela, etc

Describe alternatives you've considered

Thats it.

Anything else?

  • custom filters can be used on mass editor
  • tags can be applied in mass editor

a few extra clicks, but should accomplish the same thing, no?

can them be custom scripted to be done on a as needed basics

Plex Meta Manager can also possibly help do this

If this was implemented, there would be no need to tag as the Filters on the indexer would do the job of determing whether to use this Indexer|Tracker or not to search for this specific movie.... automatically....set and forget....instead of having to tag everytime you add a movie that meets some criteria
