Is there an existing issue for this?

  • I have searched the existing open and closed issues

I would like a checkbox in the importlist screen that allows for the system to retroactively apply tags to existing movies in the database.

Describe the solution you'd like

when i select this checkbox on the windows, i want it to go back to movies already in the system and apply the tags. Meaning if i have a list for cartoons, and the tag is cartoons. When the list is processed, if a movie from that list already exists in the database, it should apply the cartoons tag to that movie.

Describe alternatives you've considered

thought about doing this in python but decided against it. better to built it into radarr.

Anything else?

I have already started the changes. I got my system running and compiling correctly. I am working on adding the required stuff to the database, UI and Logic. When i have a PR ready, i will attach it here. Please comment on this, discuss it and let me know of any ideas you have.

Thanks

We didn't have plans for this, but if you already have a working PR we'll be glad to take a look at it and decide with the team if it's worth having.

This is something that drives me nuts on a daily basis. Yea, i am working on a PR. I am following the style of all the existing code and trying to integrate it cleanly.

Duplicates are 1 per comment, got annoying that way

they're not formally linked as dupes but the mentions tie them back - that's good enough
