Is there an existing issue for this?

  • I have searched the existing open and closed issues

I'd like to reduce the refresh rate of my list import. The lowest I can find is Plex which is 6 hours. Couchpotato has 30 mins but that project seems dead. I like the idea of being at work or out meeting friends and adding a movie to my, let's say, letterboxd list and then finding it available on Plex when I get home. With the 12 hour refresh rate on Custom Lists that's not really possible now.

I'm sure this has been asked before but I cannot find any issues on this topic. I assume the reason why they're set so high is to not spam the list services (IMDb, TMDb etc.), but would be interesting to hear why you have this limitation?

Describe the solution you'd like

I'm thinking there should be reasonable defaults, we don't want to cause any issues for the list services. But 1 hr as minimum sounds reasonable. Perhaps it could only be adjustable for Custom Lists? I suspect that users will choose the lowest amount you give them.

Describe alternatives you've considered

As I described above, what I want to do is to be able to add a movie to a list of some sort when I'm away from home, and then find that movie downloaded and ready to be played when I'm back home.

If there's alternative solutions to that (other than using a custom list) then I'm happy to hear them! I like the idea that I can add them via a proper movie database app and not, for example, using VPS to access Radarr from my phone and then adding it directly.

Anything else?

If you're open to the idea I might be able to give it a go at implementing it myself. Thank you!

No plans to allow user input of list sync times.
Lists are not "add it now" tools as described on the FAQ.
