Is there an existing issue for this?

  • I have searched the existing open and closed issues

Please please please, stop deleting metadata that Radarr had no hand in acquiring or managing in any way.

The chain of events I've been struggling with:

  • Radarr downloads a video file.
  • Emby/Jellyfin identifies it, downloads metadata (images, subtitles, nfo), and stores it beside the video file.
  • Emby/Jellyfin(or Tdarr in my current setup) are told to convert that video into hevc-mkv, replacing the original file; to conserve space. (most downloads come in h264)
  • Radarr then deletes the metadata that it had no hand in acquiring or managing in any way....

All the metadata handlers under the metadata settings are disabled, yet Radarr deletes files created and managed by other programs.

Describe the solution you'd like

Please give us an option to stop Radarr from touching files it didn't acquire and was never asked to manage. Just a simple check box under the metadata options enable/disabling metadata handling altogether.

Describe alternatives you've considered

.

Anything else?
