When I setup an SMTP outbound email to send email campaigns, it always ignore the SMTP settings, and tries (instead) to use the "sendmail". This applies on both "Send Tests" and "Send Emails" options (in campaign) but when i sent mail through mail module it works perfect. I am facing issue with campaign SMTP option.

Error Log: "Could not execute: /user/bin/sendmail".

I got issue #2895 solution on this fourm but it's not working in my situation.

I would highly appreciate for this solution:
I have Operating System and version (e.g Ubuntu 16.04): Ubuntu 14 above

Hi @razareal, this should have been resolved with github.com/salesagility/SuiteCRM@3aede85321. So far i'm unable to replicate, can you provide more specific details? (SuiteCRM Version, PHP version). I think this is more likely to be an issue with your specific environment than a core SuiteCRM issue so the forums may be a better place to raise this.

I committed in their already that it's not working in my situation a day before than I came to post a situation here.

I have noticed one thing when I install sendmail module on the server it shoots an email from that server means things are working perfect from the same server but I have another email server configured for email communication, all individual email are running perfect just facing issue with campaign emails they keep getting in email queue. Need urgent assistance.

Current Environment

OS: Ubuntu
PHP: 7.0
WS: Apache2

Thank you for your discussions on this.

I'm going to close this issue off for now due to both inactivity and that I'm also unable to replicate this issue.
I've given a number of tries in sending Campaigns and Outbound Emails and have not yet hit this issue.

If you're still seeing this issue in the latest releases, please get back in touch with any additional information/steps to replicate you may have and we'd be happy to investigate further.
