When you create a case from within a contact it does not save the description of the case.
Also see #6570 different fact set with same results.

Issue

I believe this started back in 7.10.4. Since then if you drill down to create a case from within contacts the case description is not saved. Prior to that this was not an issue.

Expected Behavior

You would expect the description to be save into the case

Actual Behavior

The description is not saved.

Possible Fix

Save the description

Steps to Reproduce

1.Select contact.
2. Click create case
3. Enter header.
4. Enter description
5. Save the case

Context

It makes using the contacts as a method of creating cases useless.

Your Environment

  • SuiteCRM Version used:7.10.10

  • Browser name and version (e.g. Chrome Version 51.0.2704.63 (64-bit)):Chrome/Mozilla/Edge

  • Environment name and version (e.g. MySQL, PHP 7):Server version: 5.6.42 MySQL Community Server (GPL)

  • Operating System and version (e.g Ubuntu 16.04) CentOS release 6.10 (Final)
