Issue

When customizing columns in list views these preferences do not keep saved after performing a search (through filter button)
There is a similar issue but with differences: https://github.com/salesagility/SuiteCRM/issues/5794. This does not reference browser and it removes the applied filter.

Expected Behavior

Not to lose user preferences concerning columns

Actual Behavior

List view columns return to their default configuration.
list_view1_search
list_view1_results

Possible Fix

To open SuiteCRM in Chrome

Steps to Reproduce

  1. E.g. Open SuiteCRM in Firefox and go to Accounts' list view
  2. Open Column Chooser and hide one field and display another one. Save changes.
  3. Open Filter -> Advanced Filter and search by Name
  4. List view does not keep the preferences saved in step 2

Context

Many people use Firefox and perhaps they do not think about changing the browser, they just could think something goes wrong with de application.

Your Environment

  • SuiteCRM Version used:
    • Versión 7.8.23
  • Browser name and version:
    • Firefox Developer 73.0b12 (64-bit), Firefox Quantum 68.5 Oesr (64-bit)
  • Environment name and version:
    • mysql Ver 14.14 Distrib 5.7.24, for Linux (x86_64),
    • PHP 7.0.33 (cli)
  • Operating System and version:
    • Debian GNU/Linux 9 (stretch)

It happens in on-line version (7.11.12) too: https://demo.suiteondemand.com

Hi @txinparta,

We haven't been able to replicate this issue in the most recent versions of SuiteCRM such as 7.10.x or 7.11.x. If you believe this to be an issue still, please leave a comment explaining further steps to reproduce otherwise this issue will be closed.

Thanks 👍

Hi @Mac-Rae,
I have been doing tests and I have found that it happens when you press INTRO key instead of pressing "SEARCH" button in the Advanced Filter.
Thank you!

What is the INTRO key, is it the ENTER key? 😄

I have the same problem when using 7.11.18 version. when you click clear and search, the displayed list will be reset to default.
