What happened?
After creating a recovery USB for Google Chrome OS flex through Chrome Recovery Utility, i try to create an iso from the usb drive and place it on Ventoy, but it does not boot from Ventoy.
@Diacius commented on GitHub (Jun 13, 2024):
Chrome OS Flex does not use a standard ISO image, and the "installation USB image" is a complete installation, as it would be on a hard drive, I'm not sure ventoy is compatible with an image of this type
@ZainAjam commented on GitHub (Jun 18, 2024):
Yes I was hoping that this format would be something that ventoy could one day be compatible with
@ventoy commented on GitHub (Jun 22, 2024):
Just download Chrome OS Flex bin file and change the suffix from
.binto.imgand put it to Ventoy to boot.@ZainAjam commented on GitHub (Jun 22, 2024):
How to download the bin file? I've only used the chrome recovery tool which
only allows flashing a drive..

@eyedlobester262 commented on GitHub (Mar 12, 2025):
i'm trying same thing too but instead of booting an image i'm trying to boot it as a vtoy disk (i have a VHD made out of a bootable usb)
unfortunately i can't run the script in the chrome OS Flex to load it up and i tried running the script on the VHD in fedora but it runned in the fedora itself
how can i run the script inside the VHD when i can't boot it?
note:sorry for any typing/grammer mistake if i have
