What happened?

While this is resolved with the latest version (1.1.07) I still wanted to report this had occurred as it may help others that were in a similar situation. Being that I no longer have a problem the issue can be immediately closed unless maintainters want to try and pinpoint just why 1.1.05 had an issue if not already known. I am willing to work with maintainers to test this on my T460s if desired.

Earlier this year I was trying to get my Lenovo T460s laptop with the current (2022) 1.58 BIOS to boot Ventoy 1.1.05 from a 32GB Micro Center branded USB 3.0 stick. The stick, like all my white-printed 32GB Micro Center sticks, reports as ID 13fe:6300 "Phison Electronics Corp. SP Mobile C31 (64GB)" although only having 32GB of space. I can't recall all the configurations I tried at that time (partitioning type, BIOS settings) but I just could not get it to boot on this laptop. The same stick when plugged into my Lenovo T450 worked just fine. On the T460s what would happen after selecting to boot from the USB stick is the activity light on the stick would be flashing showing activity for a minute or so, no updates to screen, and then the laptop would just reboot.

When I saw Ventoy 1.1.07 was released I decided to update and try again. The update was run via "sh Vnetoy2Disk.sh -u /dev/sdb". No other changes were made and the USB was now bootable on the T460s. The USB is still MBR partitioned as I would assume it was prior, the BIOS settings are still secure boot disabled with both legacy and UEFI boot modes allowed. On load of Ventoy it shows it has used the UEFI mode.

Given this same USB stick with 1.1.05 worked fine on other devices my suspicion is that there was something with which the Lenovo T460s BIOS had issues and this looks to have been changed between versions 1.1.05 and 1.1.07.
