How are you running AnythingLLM?

AnythingLLM desktop app

What happened?

After switching workspace A --> workspace B --> back to A, when I create a new thread and wait for the assistant’s response, the Edit button for my prompt is completely absent—no hover action, nothing. Switching the thread makes it reappear.

Environment

  • AnythingLLM v1.8.4
  • OS: Windows 11

Are there known steps to reproduce?

  1. On Windows 11, in AnythingLLM v1.8.4.
  2. Switch from workspace A to B, then back to A.
  3. Start a new thread in A.
  4. Wait for the assistant’s response.
  5. Hover over your own prompt.
  6. Observe: No Edit button appears.
