The bug

Right now, the avatar (user profile picture) is cropped to the ratio of original photo. Which means if your photo is portrait, it will have rectangle shape. Therefore, your avatar fails to display as you have aligned. See "additional info" section for screenshots.

I checked the latest dev build and the profile pictures seem to be 1:1 now. Is this issue still relevant or was it fixed by another PR? I can help close this out if it's already resolved.
