Hi,

I have a Dell Optiplex 3020M connected to a JetKVM. The JetVM is running:

App: 0.41
System: 0.2.4

I've got the JeKVM set in Developer mode and to receive Dev Channel Updates

I've uploaded an Ubuntu ISO to the internal storage of the JetKVM and mounted it as virtual media in CD/DVD mode. The ISO works fine, as I've booted into it from my Ventoy USB stick and via VMware Workstation in the past. Mounting as Disk mode causes me to loose keyboard and mouse input.

I have the JetKVM set up with it's own USB power supply, so that it's powered on fully before I power the Dell on. I also ensure that the ISO is mounted before powering the Dell on, so that the virtual CD/DVD drive is presented to the BIOS right from a cold start. The current Windows 10 installation sees the mounted ISO without an issue and I can browse the file system as I would a normal CD or DVD within Windows Explorer, so it's presenting fine to the OS, just not the BIOS.

However, the Dell will only show the virtual media as a bootable device option if I plug a USB drive into the PC.

Any help or advice would be much appreciated.

Many thanks,
Neil

Just ran into the same issue with a Dell Inspiron 3647. Mounted media doesn't show up in the boot menu unless I also plug in a thumb drive. Choice of USB port for the thumb drive doesn't seem to matter, but the JetKVM needs to be in a non-USB 3 port for the media to show. As long as the USB drive in plugged in, I can see the virtual media without issue. Sucessfully booting from it is about 50/50.

App: 0.5.0
System: 0.2.7
