I’m using a JetKVM to control a headless laptop (screen broken) that serves as a Proxmox server. Here’s the issue:
Question: Any suggestions to fix this? Is this a BIOS limitation, KVM quirk, or something else?
@orepvik commented on GitHub (Jul 25, 2025):
Is this a HP laptop?

I have the same issue, original firmware, updated latest, and dev firmware all have the same issue. This is an AM4 MSI board. Will not turn back on if rebooted or powered on with the data usb cable plugged in. Acts like it has no power until you remove the data usb cable, then boom, it boots immediately then. Tried every port on the board and every BIOS setting I could think of. Kind of defeats the purpose of the jetkvm when it cant power cycle with the jetkvm hooked up.

Removed the y-splitter and used the atx board to power the jetkvm, works fine now. Wish that bit of info wasn't hidden in a dark corner of some ancient discord server...
