What Is Not Working as Documented?

Some 4 months ago I installed photoprism onto a new VMare machine, running UBuntu 24.04. Photoprism has 10GB of memory allocated to it. After the install all the docker containers started and ran perfectly, over the last 4 months I have add about 9435 images to photoprism, a mixture of jpg's and mov's.
Every thing has been fine, then this evening I couldn't connect to the server, An investigation showed that the only remaining container was for MariaDB, the other containers have vanished. The server hhas some 500GB to it and is only 12% full. I have managed to recover the photo's onto another server. My question is how likely is this going to happen again, I can try restoring the latest backup if that doesn't work, can I try installing a more recent version?
Are there any instructions on how to do this.
I have put this here, but if it should be a support request then I apologise.

Can anyone help?
If neither of the above options are viable then would a new install preserve the database?

Thanks
Martyn
