Originally created by @mkruselj on GitHub (May 28, 2020).
qBittorrent version and Operating System
v4.2.5
What is the problem
When opening the torrent by double-clicking the file and qBittorrent was not open, the dialog to choose files and download location always shows up in top right of the screen rather than centered.
What is the expected behavior
It should be centered :)
Steps to reproduce
@mkruselj commented on GitHub (Oct 25, 2020):
Any takers on this annoying little bugger? :)
@xavier2k6 commented on GitHub (Oct 25, 2020):
@mkruselj this seems to be fixed, please update to 4.3.0.1
@mkruselj commented on GitHub (Oct 25, 2020):
Hmmm nope, just tried it - it's still there. Just having qBT completely closed, clicking on a magnet link or .torrent and it opens, but download dialog is in top right....
@xavier2k6 commented on GitHub (Oct 25, 2020):
Can't reproduce on windows 10 pro x64 10.0.19042 (20H2) with 4.3.0.1
Had qBittorrent closed.
Double clicked a torrent file.
Program opens & torrent dialog box appears in the centre.
What OS are you running?
@FranciscoPombal commented on GitHub (Oct 25, 2020):
@thalieht How did you reproduce this? Can you still reproduce it, at least with default settings?
@mkruselj commented on GitHub (Oct 25, 2020):
W10 Pro 1909 x64. Cannot update to 2004 due to MS shenanigans.
@xavier2k6 commented on GitHub (Oct 25, 2020):
Can't reproduce with 4.2.5 either.
Do you use duel monitors?
Increased scaling etc.
@mkruselj commented on GitHub (Oct 25, 2020):
Yep 2x24" 1920x1200 monitors, but qBT is on one monitor only. 100% scaling.
@thalieht commented on GitHub (Oct 26, 2020):
Would you look at that.. doesn't happen with the default settings. I'll start deleting stuff from my .ini file until i find the culprit.
@thalieht commented on GitHub (Oct 26, 2020):
I found the culprit but it's not in the .ini
Steps to reproduce:
From now on new torrent dialogs opened while qBt is not already open, will open at the center of qBt's position before it was maximized.
@xavier2k6 commented on GitHub (Oct 26, 2020):
Thanks @thalieht for the reproducible steps , now I can confirm that!!
@mkruselj commented on GitHub (Oct 26, 2020):
I can confirm those are the reproduction steps! My unmaximized window WAS in the top right corner somehow!
