Please provide the following information
qBittorrent version and Operating System
qBittorrent 4.2.5
Linux Mint 19
What is the problem
at the beginning of the download, there is a pause when the program reserves disk space. After that, the download starts and shows incorrect speed knowledge. it is very large.
What is the expected behavior
it is correct to show the speed not exceeding 100 Mbit per second
Steps to reproduce
I start downloading a large file of 5-10 GB and the program reserves disk space before downloading. there is a pause before the download starts until the space is fully reserved. after a pause, the graph shows incorrect readings. they are very large, a petabyte is an incorrect reading

Are you saying it happens consistently for you?
@OmlineEditor commented on GitHub (Jun 26, 2020):
for qBittorrent 4.2.5 - always when uploading large files. if the files are small (less than 10 GB), there are no problems
