I'm running the latest (3.0.5) version on 64 bit windows 7 machine. I have this issue since earlier versions (can't remember which). There is nothing helpful in the log .
Thank you.
After I close the error windows the program behaves normally.

This has already been posted several times in the qbt forums and solved. Take a look at these threads:

  1. http://qbforums.shiki.hu/index.php?topic=927.0
  2. http://qbforums.shiki.hu/index.php?topic=853.msg3255#msg3255

Long story short. If you launch qbt from "Start->Programs->qBittorrent->qBittorrent" it should not display the error message. Then update/delete all your old shortcuts/launchers/pinned applications to point to the new qbittorrrent shortcut.

For Windows, go in your qBittorent.LNK (shortcut you use to start the app) properties by right click. And remove zero at the end of this:
"C:\Program Files\qBittorrent\qbittorrent.exe" 0
