Suggestion

I'd like to have an option to download only the meta data of a torrent file and then pause as soon as that's done.
If I'm grabbing a lot of magnet links but I don't want to select all the files in the torrent I'd have to wait for the client to grab the meta data so that I can select what files I want.
This can take a long time if I'm grabbing multiple magnets. I'd rather just grab multiple magnets, have them pause when the meta data is retrieved and then I decide what I want to download later.

Use case

I want to have the option to make a torrent pause itself when the meta data has been retrieved so that I don't have to wait to download the next magnet.

+1, but i don't think it might happen, because this feature request is a duplicate of:

(from 2013) https://github.com/qbittorrent/qBittorrent/issues/929 and (from 2017) https://github.com/qbittorrent/qBittorrent/issues/7605
... and it's now almost 9 years since it was proposed in 2013, and it didn't happen. :(
