Hello,
I recently switched from bittorrent to qbittorrent. I miss the option in qbittorrent to skip folder, this is, if I select a checkbox, the files will download exactly where I pointed, without the creation of a new folder.
Sometimes the torrents come in a folder with a lot of undesirables files (txt, jpg, etc), And I just want the video or music (1 or 2 files), in the folder I alredy create for that, not in any new folder with a long name that the torrent or the software create.
I searched for that and I found no answer (maybe I am missing the correct keywords). It would be very important in order to gain control in the order of music/video library.

@fellipecorr commented on GitHub (Apr 28, 2014):
Hello,
Sledgehammer999, please don't close it, is not the same. In 588 they are asking for skip the first folder. I am asking for the option of use no folders at all. For example: there is a tv show with 5 seasons with a foler for each season, and a subfolder for each season with subtitles. If I want to download in the "C:/downloads/torrents/trueblood/" folder, the file for the subtitles of the 1st episode would be like that: "C:/downloads/torrents/trueblood/trueblood/season1/suntitles/S01E01name.srt"
I would like it to be:
"C:/downloads/torrents/trueblood/S01E01name.srt"
Just in the folder I selected, like all the files, with no exceptions. I am asking for the option of not creating foldres at all.
Thank you very much.
@sledgehammer999 commented on GitHub (Apr 29, 2014):
Ok, I understand.
I don't know if this is possible. But I feel that such an option should not be implemented. I don't want to have too many options especially when the benefit from the option is minimal.
However, your case can be mitigated partially when #439 gets implemented.

FOA thanks for this app, amazing performance and simplicity.
I also missed this feature of planar downloading (ie all files on same folder) since switched from uTorrent to qBittorrent. Very useful when just selected files are downloaded to avoid .nfo, .pad or certain episodes in series/books collections; or when a common drop folder is used for all files.
Just my 2c...
@OldManBrodie commented on GitHub (Apr 15, 2017):
Just adding my support to this request, too.... I finally got tired of uTorrent and switched to qBittorrent, and so far I love it, but the lack of this feature is sorely missed.
@Jayshua83 commented on GitHub (May 6, 2017):
This feature is very much needed! PLEASE?
@thalieht commented on GitHub (May 6, 2017):
It will be in 3.4.0
@Thermalzombie commented on GitHub (Sep 10, 2017):
Looking forward to 3.4.0 I have switched from utorrent as well and it is really annoying to have to move files and delete folders every time you download something.
@WolfganP commented on GitHub (Sep 10, 2017):
Agreed, but it's also important for the option to appear in the WebUI for those who use qb-nox
@HughJasol commented on GitHub (Nov 1, 2017):
Has this feature been implemented yet? Because it's not easy to find how to skip creation of the folder. I am downloading MAME roms and the version (of MAME not qBit) changes CONSTANTLY and with it, new folder is created with new name reflecting the current version. I need ALL and EVERY version in the same folder, not all over, in the folders that it comes with. If I would allow that, I would have new 56GB folder created EVERY month! with duplicates, while the real change can be only 1MB!
@thalieht commented on GitHub (Nov 1, 2017):
Yep, already in 3.4.0beta2.
@andras-tim commented on GitHub (Apr 22, 2018):
This feature is broken in 4.0.4.
95% of cases the multi-file contained torrents will be downloaded to root
