What is the problem?

I'd like to use the smart filter for shows where the "Ignore Subsquent Matches" does not work, as some releasers upload the latest episode 6 days late, which ruins the whole thing.

Feed I'm trying: https://nyaa.si/?page=rss&q=frieren&c=1_2&f=0

By default, qBittorrent does not support the "01" format without season number, which I could go around by adding a filter, if it would work.

Options > RSS > RSS Smart Episode Filter > Filters

However, the above does not seem to do anything, adding, removing, even clearing the whole list does not change how the Smart Episode Filter works. Seems to be hardcoded to whatever it shows on the tooltip inside the RSS Downloader window.

What would be the purpose of that option?

qBittorrent & operating system versions

qBittorrent: 4.6.2 x64
Operating system: Windows 11 Ent 22H2 x64 (10.0.22621)

I confirm this indeed doesn't work. I tried adding a filter myself on version 4.6.4 but it was ignored altogether and double entries are still downloaded. This happens both with different groups uploading the same episode one after the other or with days in between, and with same groups uploading HEVC variants an hour or two later.

For now you should go out of your way to use nyaa's built-in filtering in their search field to list entries from specific groups, filter further by isolating, for example, only 1080p and excluding tags you don't like and then right click on the RSS button in the navbar to copy the customized feeds link. Adding a feed for each release group lets you avoid double entries since you can specify the feed you want to fetch from when adding a new subscription: example https://nyaa.si/?page=rss&q=1080p+-batch+-hevc&c=1_2&f=0&u=Erai-raws

I just wish someone at least acknowledged the issue instead of ignoring it. Maybe we are using it wrong, or maybe not

Increasing Ignore Subsequent Matches empties the list entirely by the way

The root problem here (IMO) is the complete lack of docs. Not even "quality of docs" or "better tooltips, please" - there's almost nothing...

P.S.

It depends. A lot of the time, yes, but sometimes it will filter out episodes which first appeared in feed prior to that many days.
