qBittorrent & operating system versions

qBittorrent: 5.0.3 (64-bit)
Operating system: Windows 11 Pro (23H2) 22631.4751

What is the problem?

I forgot to move my torrent categories to my secondary drive and my C: drive ran out of space while qbittorrent was downloading (it would be nice if there was a limiter). I moved the files, but when I relaunched qbittorrent, the application preferences had completely reset and qbittorrent behaved as if it was the first launch. I checked the config folder, but it looks like the config files were probably overwritten. My torrent list and categories were all intact. It looks like this has been an issue for years, based on google results. Is there any way to recover my settings? I don't remember how everything was configured for my VPN.

I tried to upload the preferences file as requested, but github says .ini filetypes aren't allowed.

Steps to reproduce

  1. Leave qbittorrent open
  2. Fill C: drive
  3. Relaunch qbittorrent

Additional context

No response
