Suggestion
Some TRACKERS have a specific ICON - as displayed in the TRACKERS section on the left-hand side. I would like to be able to display the selected ICON for a CATEGORY (or even a custom/local ICON) - vs just the default "3 Bar Icon".
Use case
As identified above. In my use case, I have my CATEGORIES as individual TRACKERS - I would like to see the TRACKER ICON displayed there instead of the (currently unchangeable) default.

Users can currently change this icon (see example in screenshot below), however - both the "category" & "sub category" use the same icon (naming/placement)
@thalieht commented on GitHub (Jul 22, 2025):
Duplicate of #19704 for the "(or custom/local icons)" part.
As for the "Display CATEGORIES With TRACKER Icons" part, it sounds very specific to your use case so i doubt it will happen.
@DeathStalker77 commented on GitHub (Jul 22, 2025):
I should think this would not be a complex issue to resolve. You can change the STATUS Icons, you have an established Icon for CATEGORIES, and you have established Icons for TRACKERS. The coding to add an option to replace the "established"/default CATEGORIES Icon should not be complicated or a lot of work, just select and replace. I don't understand what the "fuss" over it is. Whether my specific use case is ... unique ... or not, is irrelevant. IMPO, it should be common sense to want to have specific icons for CATEGORIES no matter what. The icons "generated"/"detected" for TRACKERS are obviously saved somewhere, just make that a specific location and the icons available as individual files (or a compilation, such as shell32.dll) that can be selected.

@DeathStalker77
So far, the "fuss" is coming mostly from you (or do you just have the
Shiftkey sticking eventually?).I would like to remind you that you started with groundless claims that qBittorrent had lost some "feature", which you used earlier, when it never existed.
Maybe. But it doesn't seem to be in high demand by users.

Or am I wrong and we have a lot of requests for it (and not just the one mentioned above)?
@xavier2k6 commented on GitHub (Jul 23, 2025):
Having reviewed this/re-read - I believe OP is asking for the exact same thing as #19704 & not anything different.
@DeathStalker77 Please, post a screenshot of how you have your "categories" setup currently.
@DeathStalker77 commented on GitHub (Jul 23, 2025):
I cannot, as my CATEGORIES are labeled with the names of the trackers. It does appear to be similar to https://github.com/qbittorrent/qBittorrent/issues/19704 - we just worded things differently. I would like to be able to use the TRACKER Icons vs just "other" icons/emojis. Again, this should not be a great challenge in terms of implementation - no different than changing the icons for the STATUS, only adding a specific option dialog box for selection.
