qBittorrent & operating system versions

QBit. 5.1.x
Win11pro x64 updated (24H2)

What is the problem?

Qbit. from version 5.1.x doesn't recognize installed plugins.
It asks continuously phyton v.3.9.x installation even if the more updated phyton version is already installed.
Any suggestion?
Other problem with Win11pro: at every reboot of the systeme the programa is disinstalled.
Checked KIS antivirus but it's probably windows malcious self-defense: solution?
Thanx for the feedback

Steps to reproduce

installa Qbit
Try to install a research plugin
Phyton 3.9.x not recognized as installed (phyton installed at the most updated version)

Additional context

No response

Log(s) & preferences file(s)

thanx 4 the feedback

@xavier2k6 commented on GitHub (Oct 11, 2025):

For users with multiple versions of python installed in their systems, an option was provided in advanced options of qBittorrent to point to the python executable path that a user requires/meets qBittorrent's requirements.

In 5.2, this has been slightly altered/made more intelligent by detecting/checking installed python versions & as along as the minimum requirement is met qBittorrent will run even if lower versions are encountered...
