I have no issue with how to update qbittorrent at the moment, i just wanted to suggest a more easier method to do it.
What i would like to see is to have an auto updater like filezilla.
With filezilla when we start the application it checks for an update and prompts the user to update it or skip the update. If you skip the update filezilla works as normal without any reminds or popups, you only get reminded when you next start the application after shutting it down.
If you choose the update option it auto downloads the latest version of filezilla from their website, closes filezilla, updates filezilla and restarts filezilla with very few prompts or buttons to press.
I feel this would be a good way to keep users on the latest version of qbittorrent with minimum effort to the user.
@sledgehammer999 commented on GitHub (Nov 7, 2015):
I can't remember why but it was deliberately changed to the current way. Previously it also downloaded behind the scenes and run it silently.
Anyway, I am not interested in this.
