Deleting a branch is permanent. Although the deleted branch may continue to exist for a short time before it actually gets removed, it CANNOT be undone in most cases. Continue?
Originally created by @yenashi on GitHub (Dec 19, 2015).
I recently changed my computer and realised there is no easy way to migrate qBitTorrent.
Would be good to have some kind of backup/import feature. It is frustrating having to import 500 torrents one at a time.
@ghost commented on GitHub (Dec 19, 2015):
If you're on windows you can just create a copy of the qB %appdata% folder and %localappdata% folder.
@Martina-Neumayer commented on GitHub (Dec 21, 2015):
Great idea! Ok.. Can man c/p the program config and backup directories, but this is not a option for everyone.
@mattany commented on GitHub (Jan 8, 2021):
See
https://github.com/qbittorrent/qBittorrent/wiki/Frequently-Asked-Questions#where-does-qbittorrent-save-its-settings
for all of the directories you need to copy in order to migrate between systems.
I agree that there should be an easy way in the GUI to backup and restore, but for now this is the best option. You don't need to add torrent files manually at least...
