The files selected as do not download are being downloaded or at least being created in the folder and not deleted when finished. it looks like the old .unwanted folder no longer exists or used.

If you uncheck the file in the initial download box it will say do not download but will be downloaded anyway or at least created and no .unwanted folder appears. Work around is to right click the do not download file after you start downloading the torrent and selecting the do not download again. Doing this will make that file not be downloaded and create the .unwanted folder where it will be stored for deletion.

I just came here to report the same bug. I'm on 3.3.1, and all files seem to be downloaded. When I delete the torrent, the files remain on the HDD.

@thalieht, that comment definitely explains why the .unwanted folder disappeared, but it doesn't explain why unwanted files aren't deleted when the torrent is removed from qBittorrent. That's the part that's a bug.

Version 4.0.x is released. It uses libtorrent 1.1.x which puts the unwanted part files in the hidden file
".<torrent_hash>.parts" which is put in the same folder as the root folder(if any) of the torrent.
For the moment it's not possible to put that file somewhere else.
