Please provide the following information
qBittorrent version and Operating System:
3.3.10, Windows Server 2012
What is the problem:
I closed qBittorent and moved 8TB of folders to a new drive externally from qBittorent. A portion of the files and folders contained there were linked to torrents in qBittorent and were spread out in numerous directories and sub-directories therein.
The logistics of moving both torrented and non torrented files in these folders, as well as weaknesses in the set location mechanism essentially required the move to occur externally as the logistics to move these files through qB would be very unpleasant.
After I started qB, it identified 900 torrents that were associated with this move and it automatically marked them as missing files. Using set location I pointed the torrents to their new folders. However the torrents did not return to 100%.
I performed a "force recheck" on these files and the torrents became paused.
Using "Open containing folder" now shows that qBittorent thinks that the files should be in my incomplete location for downloading torrents, and starting the torrents causes it to begin downloading from scratch
What is the expected behavior:
When performing a "set location" the destination folder for the torrent should be examined for the presence of the downloaded data and the torrent marked as 100%
When performing a "force recheck" on the same torrent the destination folder for the torrent should be examined for the presence of the downloaded data and the torrent verified
Steps to reproduce:

@ngosang commented on GitHub (Sep 16, 2018):
We are closing all issues related to old qBittorrent versions (qBittorrent < 4.1.0).
Please, update to last release and, if the bug/error/crash is still present, open another issue.
Thank you.
