qBittorent 3.3.11 (Windows) NOT skiping certain files even after deselecting them manually before downloading. It downloads all the files included in the torrent. Please remove this bug asap as many files are unnecessary. This bug was in the previous v… #5382

At the moment qBittorrent dumps the unselected files that contain cross-file-pieces in the same directory as the desired files.

libtorrent 1.1.0+ (the backend of qBittorrent) supports partfiles so we must wait for qBittorrent to adopt libtorrent 1.1.x.

The development team broke it back in October 2015 with 3.3.0 and have ignored the problem ever since with no signs of fixing it. I'd recommend running 3.2.5 that was the last version where it worked properly.

Duplicate of #2659

Version 4.0.x is released. It uses libtorrent 1.1.x which puts the unwanted part files in the hidden file
".<torrent_hash>.parts" which is put in the same folder as the root folder(if any) of the torrent.
For the moment it's not possible to put that file somewhere else.
