Please provide the following information
qBittorrent version and Operating System: 3.3.13
If on linux, libtorrent and Qt version: windows 10
What is the problem: when i uncheck certain files in the torrent they are still downloaded
What is the expected behavior: only download checked files
Steps to reproduce: magnet any torrent, uncheck some files, see the files are still being downloaded
Extra info(if any):
@thalieht commented on GitHub (Jul 11, 2017):
https://github.com/qbittorrent/qBittorrent/wiki/Frequently-Asked-Questions#I_configured_qBittorrent_to_not_download_some_files_in_a_torrent_but_they_still_appear_on_my_hard_disk_why_is_that
At the moment qBittorrent dumps the unselected files that contain cross-file-pieces in the same directory as the desired files.
libtorrent 1.1.0+ (the backend of qBittorrent) supports partfiles so we must wait for qBittorrent to adopt libtorrent 1.1.x.
@dongerlel commented on GitHub (Jul 11, 2017):
Well i was downloading mkv file + 3x txt files. I uncheded txt files and they were still there, fully readable.
Can't the program just remove them after this mandatory download?
@thalieht commented on GitHub (Jul 11, 2017):
Not if you want to seed the torrent.

Version 4.0.x is released. It uses libtorrent 1.1.x which puts the unwanted part files in the hidden file
".<torrent_hash>.parts" which is put in the same folder as the root folder(if any) of the torrent.
For the moment it's not possible to put that file somewhere else.
