@ngosang Should this be implemented by default?

Years ago, qbittorrent was very easy, today it requires hours of setup due to the new search "feature"

Very sad, qbittorrent was one of my favorite apps.

@ShalokShalom Jackett is optional, just disable it and use the embedded trackers.

I dont know what Jackett is. I just know, that by default, no search works and obviously, we even have to add special trackers in order to use magnet links.

If DHT is not working, magnet links are almost guaranteed to fail.

There is a fix, so we can include that one by default?

Why don't you browse the options a bit? Options > BitTorrent > Automatically add these trackers to new downloads.

DHT (which uses UDP packets) can be blocked on purpose or accident by a software firewall, a router, an ISP, or even bad network drivers.
Pretty much none of those blocks would be qBitTorrent's fault and they can be hard to test.

You all miss the point. As said, it worked perfectly fine. The old versions still work like a charm.

Ok, that could be a bug in the latest version of qBitTorrent.

But...
Updating to a new version of qBitTorrent can be flagged in antivirus or firewall software as "file/s.modified... possibly infected by unknown malware, partially-or-fully block network access to this now!"
I've seen that happen many times for other BitTorrent software.
I've had to delete the firewall rules for every version of uTorrent software I've installed and then let the firewall re-detect the newest version to get it to work right.

So to rule that out, you need to check both firewall software and antivirus software on your computer.

This is not a Bug in the latest version, just read what I wrote:
They changed the way how the search works about a year and a half ago and since that is qbittorrent broken for me.

All the nice features and benefits are completely gone.

I never had to set anything about the Firewall or anything else.
