qBittorrent version and Operating System

4.0.3 on Win10/64

If on linux, libtorrent and Qt version

What is the problem

When you append !qB extension, complete the file(s), you want next to Recheck/Rehash the file(s), maybe for re-download file(s), you need to manually append !qB extension, if not file(s) is(are) not Rechecked/Rehashed and download starts from 0 with a new !qB file.

What is the expected behavior

qBitorrent finds the complete file, without !qB extension, rename it .!qB and starts Recheck/Rehash/ReDownload...

Steps to reproduce

set !qB extension in config
download a file, !qB is appended
complete it
redownload the torrent with files in original downloaded path, new !qB files are generated, original files are not checked!!!

Same problem with the latest version! This needs fixed as the extension feature is useless otherwise! Really dumb to ignore files that do not have the !qb

Not fixed. Still an issue in 4.1.6.

This can be easily reproduced without downloading any new files just by renaming a single file: #5460

Workarounds are: disable the "Append .!qB" setting temporarily or add .!qB extension to the file(s) BEFORE doing a re-check.

Here is an explanation from 2015: https://github.com/qbittorrent/qBittorrent/issues/3890#issuecomment-155138761. Apparently related to how libtorrent works and not as easy to fix as it sounds like.
