Delete branch "%!s()"
Deleting a branch is permanent. Although the deleted branch may continue to exist for a short time before it actually gets removed, it CANNOT be undone in most cases. Continue?
Originally created by @NULUSIOS on GitHub (Nov 29, 2013).
There is a feature I miss from another bloated client I try to switch from.
When adding or importing a torrent, there should be an option to NOT create a subfolder for the torrent content.
Why is this needed?
I'll tell you the real life example.
In a tracker I use, there is torrent called "MAME CHDs", which is close to 290GB.
When I seed this, I don't want to keep a duplicate, so I put it where I actually use it and seed it from there.
The thing is, that the folder where all the torrent contents are, is called simply "chds" and NOT "MAME CHDs".
So in that other client that I want to remove, I just select "don't create subfolder" and seeds (and downloads) fine, directly to "chds" folder.
This is not the only torrent I need to do that.
I do not want to rename the torrent!
Checking the actual .torrent file, I don't see "MAME CHDs" mentioned anywhere as root, so it is clear that is not needed to seed the torrent properly and should be an easy "tick" to add.
Would be even smarter (I don't actually think I need this though, but seems like a nice feature), if program could even handle not creating a "root" folder even if that folder IS mentioned in the .torrent. Program could (?) handle this part virtually, seed the torrent like the root folder exists and is properly named. Again, this just looks like a cool addition, but the wish above (not creating a root folder when .torrent doesn't request it) is a need.
Thanks.

This is already proposed somewhere else in the bug tracker. I can't find atm. Nevertheless, I'll mark it for implementation for some during the 3.1.x series timeline. (you'll see it bouncing milestones until it gets implemented).

Fantastic.

+1 for this. I too miss this feature from another torrent client.
@Unseeing commented on GitHub (Apr 10, 2014):
Looking for an alternative client and this one feature is preventing me from using qbittorrent right now.

Closing in favor of #588 which is marked for v3.2.0
