🔖 Feature description

I would love if a hostname that gets entered in the hostname field of a Steam monitor could be resolved. I have a dynamic IP and really don't want to change the Monitor every time the IP changes.
This was already mentioned by @gnouts in #492, but I thought opening a new request would be cleaner.

✔️ Solution

A hostname like example.com beeing resolved to an IP address like 012.345.678.9 when used in the Steam monitor.

I have the exact same problem. If I enter the hostname like 7daystodie.mydomain.com it does not work. If I enter my IP (v4) then Kuma will find the server and display the correct status.
As I have a dynamic IP, I can't really use the workaround though.

Please refrain from posting +1 / requests for updates things on issues, as this makes issue-management harder.

Issues are for discussing what needs to be done how by whom.
We use 👍🏻 on issues to prioritise work, as always: Pull Requests welcome.

It is especially confusing as the field you enter the IP in is named "hostname". A warning about this / renaming the field to ip address would at least lesser the confusion. As-is I'd classify this as a bug.
