I am using Debian Jessie and installed youtube-dl via packages:

Update to a newest version with sudo youtube-dl -U, or wait until you pakcage manager updates de version.

Should have mentioned that, sudo youtube-dl -U, returns this message:

$ sudo youtube-dl -U
It looks like you installed youtube-dl with a package manager, pip, setup.py or a tarball. Please use that to update.

Will wait for the package to be updated. Thanks.
