I just installed youtube-dl using:

curl -L https://yt-dl.org/downloads/latest/youtube-dl -o /usr/local/bin/youtube-dl
chmod a+rx /usr/local/bin/youtube-dl

I have python3 and Debian 8 ARMhf. Running
youtube-dl --version
takes 10 seconds just to show
2018.01.07
Something is seriously wrong.
