I typed on terminal:

youtube-dl -i --verbose --proxy "" 'http://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL7AD198111F85DB9C'

Then I got the following error:

Also, when I typed "youtube-dl -U" to update it says:

It looks like you installed youtube-dl with a package manager, pip, setup.py or a tarball. Please use that to update.

Now I don't know how to update it.

Thanks for help.

Well, how did you install youtube-dl? If with pip, use pip -U youtube-dl. If you used a package manager, contact your distribution's (I believe it's Linux Mint) packager for updates.

In any case, you can always uninstall the packaged version with

sudo rm -r /usr/local/lib/python2.7/dist-packages/youtube_dl/ $(which youtube-dl)

and then follow our installation instructions:

sudo curl https://yt-dl.org/latest/youtube-dl -o /usr/local/bin/youtube-dl
sudo chmod a+x /usr/local/bin/youtube-dl
hash -r # Clean bash cache in the current shell
