Doesn't download a valid youtube playlist #4938

The url works well in browser but in youtube-dl gives the below output and stops. I once downloaded the playlist using older version of youtube-dl and it did the download well. I tried to download any updates of the youtube list with the latest version of the tool and this is the error i get. Apart from this there are no other troubles. I use Linux Mint 17 (Cinnamon). Message me for any additional info.

You are using a quite old version (2014.02.17). Please update your copy. The update instructions may help.

Thank you. I downloaded it from mint repository so i thought it was latest. Now followed your instructions and it worked. Thanks for quick response :) 👍
