qBittorrent & operating system versions

Qbittorent v4.4.3 (64 bit)
MacOS Ventura 13.5.1

What is the problem?

pop up appears continuously saying "qbittorrent would like to access file in your Downloads folder". It stays when you click okay, and won't disappear.

It also stays when you force quit the application, and requires computer restart to remove.

Steps to reproduce

No response

Additional context

usually happens after I have left qbittorent work overnight, or when computer is not used for a while.

Log(s) & preferences file(s)
