Hi,
This feature could be useful to manage speed to certain categories (example: private trackers);
The idea is to Right-click on a categories name to set a custom speed limit who will apply to all torrents in.
Maybe be also add the Super-Seeding Mode.
Regards,

Soon™. Tagging to #5222 so it will be tracked with the rest of the relevant issues.

+1 for this and #7608 setting "limit share ratio" for each category. (I didn't want to re-open that closed issue.)
@RebeliusGaming commented on GitHub (Nov 25, 2022):
Any news?
I'm asking here but I'm looking for category share ratios. There was this issue #7608 https://github.com/qbittorrent/qBittorrent/issues/7608 that was marked as duplicated but it is not

Wondering the same here after looking for the same feature to no avail and doing the same investigation to come to the same conclusion more than a year later after the comment from someone else I'm just now quoting right above. And much to my surprise too.
@WizardKnight commented on GitHub (Feb 9, 2024):
Bumping this request.
@Hannah-GBS commented on GitHub (Apr 11, 2024):
To clarify, would this feature set a speed limit for the entire category, similar to global speed limit (ie set it to 10MB/s and torrents in that group can use any speed as long as the total for the entire group doesn't exceed 10MB/s), or as a simple "Set limit on every torrent in the category" (ie set it to 10MB/s and every torrent in that category has their Upload Speed Limit individually set to 10MB/s)?
The latter can be achieved by qbit_manage now, but the former would be a lot more useful, as I don't care whether 1 torrent in a group is using all the speed right now or 100 are sharing it between them.
@RebeliusGaming commented on GitHub (Apr 12, 2024):
I would like to add the option to add a sharing ratio limit by category.
@ludo1800 commented on GitHub (May 25, 2024):
Bump
@amlopin commented on GitHub (Dec 27, 2024):
Is there any update for "sharing ratio limit by category"?
Thanks
@Supastyles commented on GitHub (Feb 4, 2025):
I have been looking for this too (more specifically) the ability to apply ratio limits for different things whether it be category or even tags would be nice to simply set tags up for differnt speeds or seeding limits!

I am thinking everyone is asking for like a global setting of this per category. Atleast this is what I am looking for. Think of the global settings of how it is now in the photo below but add an option to set by category. Populate it with known categories and then reflect the settings per category. Set it once and not have to set it per torrent.

#9939 is working on the same issue but there's no update for a while.
