Two issues here.

First, if you get a "Connection refused" error it's like the error a web browser gets when the connection is rejected by the web server. That shouldn't be a problem with youtube-dl, at least normally.

Second, I don't get that same "connection refused" error, but I get a 404 when requesting the video webpage. This could be a problem, but it's not because the video is not available using a normal web browser. If you put that URL in your address bar, you get an error page saying "The URL contained a malformed video ID."

As YouTube says, "Sorry about that", I erased too many characters when removing all the subscription stuff from the URL. The correct link is http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S3fBOYNVdwA which is what youtube-dl was launched with. I still have the same problem.

I just tried with the one from December 16. I get the same problem for every video I've tried with that version as well.

youtube-dl just started working over here again without me changing anything. Perhaps YouTube is having a problem with their servers around here (I'm in Sweden).
