No, sorry. It's not a matter of liking or not liking it. There was an issue opened with a good use case. If everything you have against the behavior is "I don't like it", it stays.

OK, some reasoning :-)
A case I had was that I've downloaded a few videos, enqueued all the .part files in my video player. When it had played the first video (where it worked fine: the file was downloaded during play, but the file had already been opened) it tried to open the second file, which had been renamed in between.

I don't want it to be removed, I know there are good reasons for it, I'd just like to choose :)
